The new Wild in the Orchard group, being launched by the Friends of Holywells Park, met for the first time on Friday.
The new group for parents and pre school children allows them to explore the park and learn with play under the trees.
It has been launched with financial support from the local John Dorkin charity and a grant from County Councillor Liz Harsant’s locality budget.
Liz Harsant commented,” Led by ‘the two Sarahs’ – one a qualified teacher and the other a nurse – each session will provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where little ones can discover the sights, sounds and textures of nature through play and exploration.”
It will meet weekly.
